EDM#183 Draw something dangerous (by Alex)

I am sorry it took me so long to post. I hadn't been drawing at all since Good Friday, as I was in Brussels visiting a good friend of mine. Right after that I had to go to Oslo for two-days meeting, and then I came back sick. I've been sick for almost a week now but I managed to do a little sketch still while dragging along(I get tired so easily now)
This would be considered a messy post I suppose, since I almost fell asleep so many times while doing it. I wanted to draw a gun after watching Appleseed(Japanese anime) a few weeks ago. I must say, it's not easy drawing a gun -__- I accidentally made this a compact version.
Thanks again for all the comments on my previous post. I am glad people like the sakura painting. I still haven't found the Moleskine Watercolor sketchbook(they are sold out everywhere!!) but I'll keep looking for it while keeping an eye on the Hand*Book Artist Journal, I doubt they carry those in stocks here in Cologne.
Happy drawing/sketching everyone!

  3. This is awesome, Alex - did you work from a photo?

  6. ^^ ahaha, they'd prolly sell that at Wal-Mart lah. Or maybe my relatives could sell you theirs XD.

Great job on the details, but that's your area of focus so I am not surprised how well this sketch turned out on paper. As always, keep it up, and I look forward to seeing another one.

  7. Wow, the attention to detail in your drawings is amazing! I would never finish a project if I wanted it to come out like yours! Appleseed...I will have to check that one out :)

  8. Ann, ^^ Thank you, don't worry nobody will get hurt from traces of graphite powder on a page or journal.
Greg, I am glad you liked it!
Angeltreats, Teehee :) Yes I worked from a photo. You need to watch the Appleseed 2004(that's the one that got me into drawing this), Appleseed Ex Machina is good too in a different way.
FuiPing, Hahaha.. glad you noticed the bullet!
Jason, No I don't think you could just buy stuff like this on supermarkets, why would you want a gun in Malaysia anyway, only police and crooks use them and you're neither :p
Tanna, Thanks sweetie ^^ You already knew that I was going to draw this.
Kaine, :) Thanks for the compliment! Well you do well transforming rooms with respect to projects. Yes you(and everyone) needs to check Appleseed out!!

  10. Really great. I also like the way the gun is angled. Makes for a more interesting composition.
