Yeah, you might find the title weird, but the DDD stands for Dr. Dany's Daughter ^^ Dr. Dany is my boss, or was... but he's a great guy and by far the best boss I've ever had. He's got a couple of beautiful kids, and he's got pictures of them all over his office, so I thought I'd want to draw the youngest one because I like kids too. She might not look the same as she looked in the picture, still I hope he likes it.

I am doing another step by step, so that people could see how I worked my way through, and perhaps give me some pointers too.

Thank you all again and again for all your comments on my previous posts. You all are great! :)

  6. I must say I like this masterpiece the most. so lively and so genuine(i'm lost of words). Can sense the ambience of happiness just by looking at this picture, just like the pleasure of opening a brand new box of ROTF :p

One word to summarize - AWESOME...

  7. Boyohboy, you've really conveyed a whole world of textures: clothing, hair (masterful what you did with her hair!), skin and lips. As they say here, "Complimenti!" - and keep 'em coming. Like the stages view too.

  10. Fabulous! Very inspiring. I just started portraits in an art course I am taking and have only completed one. I can see by looking at yours that I go in too dark with the shading too soon. Thanks so much for sharing and putting on the steps you take. Very helpful.

  20. This is absolutely stunning. The personality, the shading, the hair - all of it! And what you said about expressions at my blog, you are wonderful at drawing expressions, so don't you give me that! Finally, I have to comment on your comment at Raena's blog - take it from an old married man, you will never win, get used to it - surrender now and it will go down easier for you. Remember this: she is always right, even if she changes her mind later about the same thing. :)
